Discontinued Pattern Sources
Major pattern companies keep discontinued patterns for up to one year, but they may or may not have a large stock of any particular pattern when it is discontinued. Availability of recently discontinued patterns is not guaranteed. Some pattern companies require a written request others will take calls. A few companies also take calls for pattern problems.
Please keep in mind time zone differences when placing your call.

Pattern Search:
This is a search service for old patterns. Send the company name, pattern number and size, and a brief description of the pattern along with a self addressed, stamped postcard.
Internet Sources
Some have had success searching the internet for discontinued patterns. Start with a search engine like Google or try one of the auction sites like Ebay. Be prepared to spend some time on a search like this; going from broad search terms like “discontinued sewing patterns” then searching within promising sites with tighter information like the pattern company and number.
