Window Coverings

Aside from the decorative and functional aspects of the window coverings, also consider the structural details of the window itself, including the way it operates. The window covering must be designed to allow easy access if the window will be opened and closed regularly. You may want to accent a decorative window frame or select a style that will cover inferior woodwork around the window.

Often the window coverings you select will be a combination of two or more styles. One style, selected for its functional characteristics, may be combined with another decorative style to satisfy all the needs of the window covering. For consistency, combine styles that reflect the same decorating theme.
