Learning the process and techniques of furniture upholstery will be eased by knowing the correct names of the furniture parts, both in their upholstered state and stripped to the bare frame. Depending on the project, the furniture piece you are upholstering may not have all the parts that are shown on the chair below. Or it may have parts not shown, such as a skirt, arm boxing, or back boxing.
