Designer Fabrics at denverfabrics.com

A large percentage of our wool, linen and silk fabrics come from designers and can be classified as designer fabrics. We can’t take credit for having done anything special. The primary source of supply for these fabrics, particularly the better grades, is the surpluses coming from designers. Manufacturers of popular price apparel do not use these fabrics.

While we are committed to showing a large selection of designer fabrics on our site, we have not chosen to show designer names. This is partly out of concern for legal liability. Web site businesses are highly vulnerable to legal challenges related to trademark infringement.

However, we also see this as an integrity issue. Fabrics are not good because they are designer fabrics. Much of what designers purchase is good but not everything. They make mistakes, have problems and occasionally veer off course just like any other business. Some of their fabrics have the cache of being produced in Europe but are actually no better than similar fabrics purchased in Japan, Korea, China or India. Good fabrics can fend for themselves. The quality will be apparent.

Finally, bear in mind that designer fabrics are fabrics that designers purchase to produce their apparel. Designer fabrics are made by fabrics mills, not fabrics designers.
